  3. Hey Jim! The first thing for me today, after making coffee and pouring a cup, was to go downstairs and catch up on your blog posts! Another amazing group of posts!

Right now I'm listening to "Dust in the Wind" by Kansas. The lovely series of photos of sea foam made it pop into my mind. What a profound moment with your aunt that you shared. I'm glad that she came through her operation all right and that her recovery goes well.

And, as always. your "Getting to Know" me was fascinating. Your comments on your high school principal and politics reminded me yet again why I worked so hard for our education association/union. It was impossible for me not to be active because injustice makes me crazy ~ legacy of the North! I'm sorry that you experienced that!

Loved your photo of Mim! I know that I would like your sister very much. So many gorgeous photos this week.

I especially love the one of Sophie and Ron moving through the green dune grass. You have an eye for composition ~ seeing their backs adds mystery, and Ron's position pulls you to the people and beach in the distance. Then the color and the light on the grass. Awesome photo!

I hope that you are enjoying a great weekend!

    1. Thanks Louise! I will check out 'Dust In The Wind'.
I wish you had been my 'union rep' at that time when I needed someone to share with. Oh well, all water under the bridge now. I have forgiven and moved on.
Yes, you would enjoy Mim's company Louise. She is veru easy to get along with.
Hoping your weekend is going well.

  4. Great roundup of photos, Jim! I love the one of your sister. She seems like such a happy and fun person. And the Fudgsicle photo....the best treat ever! We ALWAYS keep a box or two or three of those in our freezer!

    1. Thanks Martha! Mim is usually always smiling. I am 12 years older than her and I can remember her always being this way since she was very little.
I can see a box of these treats in the freezer for the future......

    1. Not Sophie's favourite walk though, as the grass is at face level for her and can be annoying. There is a worn trail through this grass all along the beach.

  6. I would like to steal this idea of showing your pictures from the week that was each Saturday, or some other day. I have way too many that just get forgotten. And I truly love to see what you have been up to. I, of course, am never up to much, but there are still always so many pictures.

    1. It wasn't my idea Inger...you are more than welcome to put your own spin to it. Some people call it a 'photo dump' in which they can get lots of photos out at once.
I look forward to your 1st edition!!

Yes, that is a fudgesicle!! I guess Mim keeps them in stock for when her daughter is around.
