LeAnn Rimes does such a great job

who died before she could record this.

Saturday Morning Post

QuestionWhat do 'global warming' and the game of poker have in common?

Sunset the other evening taken from inside....

These two birds are from the same 'family' but different mothers......
Heron on the right is very common here.....
Egret on the left is not but becoming more so the past few years....global warming?

This batik fabric wall hanging was made by Dorothy Udall
from the Maridadi West shop in Colorado in the '70s......
it is at my shop.

A corner at the shop....

Ron and Sophie on the Atlantic Trail down at the beach....
in the far distance on the hill you can barely see The MacDonald House
in which my shop is located.

 Poker game.....

Feeling a little 'owly' lately!

'Spring'....

I took this photo the other day as the tide was 'coming in'.
In that shoal area you can see at low tide
there used to be a baseball field/diamond.
It was there in the 30's and 40's and locals remember
going to games and cheering on the local team.
.......sea levels are rising.

I could feel this kayaker's peace being out there alone......with just the ocean.

These two pieces of art are among the many 'marine' themed paintings/photos
I have hanging on the staircase walls going up to shop.

Answer: Both are 'high-stakes' games.

Saturday Morning Post

Mid April around the North Atlantic.......

It was all 'crystal clear' to me.....
do you see a face at the top of this crystal decanter?

Last Saturday we had a LOT of rain.....it helped to get rid of the last remaining snow.

What says 'springtime' more than flowers.....tea set at the shop.

Heading into the city of Halifax on the MacKay Bridge......

'A family that plays together.........'

I spent a couple of hours with my brother, Dennis, his son, Jacob
and his son, Gabriel who just turned a year old.

I know, it seems like Ron and Sophie are always going up this hill!!
Well.....they are!

I never knew till Thursday that lobster were caught
so close to the city in the harbour.

Great-nephew Gabe and nephew Jacob.....

Gabe with his grandfather, my brother, Dennis.

Yes, it IS as cold as it looks!

The Atlantic View Trail at Lawrencetown Beach Provincial Park.

Life is all about 'perspective', right?

Spring has arrived here in Nova Scotia.
May not be as lush as this video shows,,
but give it a few weeks and 'spring' will be realized.

Have a wonderful Sunday everyone.

Saturday Morning Post

Saying goodbye to winter.....

Sophie on MacDonald Hill as the snow gently melts....

From my perch at the shop on Wednesday....

Now, let's go to the beach!
This time it is Martinique Beach
which is further down the Eastern Shore of Nova Scotia
from where we live.....about 45 minutes away.
Sophie was so excited to be there!!

.....as was Ron. It is a much longer beach than the two near us.

This would be me watching the tide come in and 'washing' the small stones
back out to sea.

A good view of this lovely crescent beach......with Ron doing his 'thing'.

Looking back....it IS a long beach!

A clam shell....the seabirds have a feast every day.

The tide was coming in for the whole of our hike.
One wave almost got me!

Crab legs.....

Beach art everywhere....

This particular type of seaweed is Sophie's 'choice' pick!
It has always been her favourite and we have to watch her closely
because on many occasions she woke us up
in the middle of the night vomiting.
It is like eating potato chips I guess.
