Back in 1980 we lived in Vancouver, British Columbia on Canada's west coast. We moved there 'lock, stock and barrel' in a van that had pretty well everything we owned in it. We met up with a friend, Stephen, also from Halifax, who also moved there. A year later another friend, Frank, moved out as well. It was 1980 when he arrived and he stayed there until about 6 months ago when he returned to be with his sister in New Brunswick. He was dying. This past week he died. Frank, we will never forget your contagious laughter and joy of life..... the wonderful times and meals we would have at each other's homes in Vancouver. Frank was a big man and very strong and when he danced he meant business and would always lead with abandon! lol Thanks for these great memories, Frank and Godspeed. This song by 'Blondie' was very popular at the time. Have a wonderful Sunday everyone.
I remember this song so well in 1964-65. Little did I know (ok, it took me a while!!) that it would have great significance on my life in only a few more years. Happy Thanksgiving to all my Canadian friends and have a great Columbus Day in the USA!!
In 1961-62 I remember a friend and I went to see 'Breakfast AT Tiffany's'. I was 13 years old and very impressionable as any 13 year old is. I fell in love with Audrey Hepburn, and the featured song "Moon River'. Hope you enjoy this step back into the past as much as I did. Have a wonderful Sunday everyone.
