Eclectic Tastes

Back in 1980 we lived in Vancouver, British Columbia on Canada's west coast.
We moved there 'lock, stock and barrel' in a van that had pretty well everything
we owned in it.
We met up with a friend, Stephen, also from Halifax, who also moved there.

A year later another friend, Frank, moved out as well.
It was 1980 when he arrived and he stayed there until about 6 months ago
when he returned to be with his sister in New Brunswick.
He was dying.
This past week he died.

Frank, we will never forget your contagious laughter and joy of life.....
the wonderful times and meals we would have at each other's homes in Vancouver.
Frank was a big man and very strong and when he danced he meant business
and would always lead with abandon! lol

Thanks for these great memories, Frank and Godspeed.

This song by 'Blondie' was very popular at the time.

Have a wonderful Sunday everyone.

    1. Thanks, Jean. We haven't seen Frank in years but you are correct that the memories are still very vivid of that time in our youth.

  2. Frank was this and more ~ I knitted a sweater for myself that year and low and behold it was so big I could swim in it.

I offered it to Frank and he was over the moon ~ I guess he liked it!

    Namaste my friend!

    1. That he did, Debra. He was very involved in the nurse's union in B.C. for years.

  7. Memories sustain us through life and even now with the loss of your friend, the good memories will see you through and no doubt time to get out the photo album, the ties that bind will remain.

  8. So sorry for the loss of your friend. I well remember the "Call Me" song by Blondie. I loved the 80's!
"Recall happy memories as often as you wish, you can never wear them out."
