Eclectic Tastes On Canada's Birthday

Today is Canada's birthday! It is 145 years old.

Canada is the second largest country in the world....Russia is the largest.

We have about 35 million people living in Canada, so there is a lot of room to 'move around'!

Because of it's size, Canada, like I am sure other countries, tends to be 'regionalized'.

Here on the east coast of Canada we have four provinces: Newfoundland, New Brunswick,

Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia.

So to celebrate this great country and this east coast region of Canada, here is

Nova Scotia's unofficial 'anthem'.

  3. I love Ryan's Fancy! I still have that LP (along with some of their others) and play them every once in a while. I remember learning "Farewell to Nova Scotia" in glee club at school when I was a kid. Happy Canada Day, Jim and Ron!

  6. In these parts, we celebrate Independence Day in the US and Canada Day. On the 25th of June we had fireworks over the river that separates the two and a festival on both side of the river all week long.

These people had a great view of Detriot (from the Windsor side!)
