Eclectic Tastes

This past week has been busy for us. We were helping friends deal with an emergency health crises in which they had to leave their province and come to Nova Scotia to get the treatment required.

They left for home yesterday and are 'on the mend'.

A few years ago they taught me a lot about friendship when they were there for me after my mother died.

Let's celebrate our friends and have a great Sunday.

  1. awwww, Carole King takes me back, to tender times and young love. Very healing song, great tribute to your friends. Glad they are on the mend and that you found such wonderful friends.

p.s. I like it when you post late/early so I get to see it at a reasonable hour. It's midnight here, and you?

  2. Real friends are those who give unconditional love, care, support, and much more , not needing to be asked, they do not ask for thanks or anything in return. I believe kindness like this goes in a huge circle, and those who help us, we might never be able to return that kindness to them, but sometime, we can in turn ,pass it on helping someone else. You have returned their kindness in a wonderful way. Cheers, Jean

    1. Dad is doing OK John. We are waiting for his decision to move from his home to the Veterans facility in Halifax where they have 'level 3' care (which I guess is top-notch).
I wish he was there now receiving the care he so deserves and needs and which we can't give him at home. But, family dynamics has my hands tied to move more quickly. Such is life.
      Thanks for asking.
