Saturday Morning Post

A 'roller coaster' of a week......

Periwinkles everywhere along the Arm shore.

Waiting for his ship to come in?

A walk in the park.

Are you two looking down at me?

Dragonfly study...

loved Ron's shirt.....

Look at those eyes!

Two crows joy.

Always prepared.

Driving through a rain storm.

Ron visited his father's grave site while in Wolfville.

Walking down the path to the harbour.

Lots of signs.

Three horses along the canal in Gaspereaux Valley.

This past week is all 'water under the bridge' now.

  1. 1) Gorgeous photos, as always.
    2) Ron's ship came in more than 30 years ago -- HMS Jim.
    3) I had no idea Ron's father was Saint Francis of Assisi. That explains a lot.
    4) It's ALL water under the bridge.

  3. Great photos, Jim! I love the image of the periwinkles. So colourful! And a dragonfly was sitting on Ron! That is pretty amazing. They hardly sit still long enough for you to get a good image.

Hey, did Ron's ship finally come in? Or is he still standing there? LOL...

  5. Yes, it has been a week. Nice pictures - I like the bridge the best, I think, or maybe Ron waiting for his ship to come in.

  6. Get photos, Jim! I like how you followed crow joy by Ron! So do you ever collect periwinkles to cook and eat. My great-grandmother had us collecting them for her to cook for us. Yech! I think the lowly barnacles are amazing, hardy creatures ~ and I've never had to eat them! LOL! Have a great weekend with less rain!

    1. I wish I could say that these photos are all planned in a certain order....they aren't, most of the time. Just lucky I guess that some follow the other seemingly appropriately!
Never have and never will eat periwinkles thank you very much!! You would have to have a pound of them! And I can just see that plate now!! Yech Yech!
They are great for bait however. I remember as a kid collecting these and fishing down at the piers in the harbour. Fish love them!! lol
