Saturday Morning Post

My computer will not allow me to download any photos.
I (and Ron) am trying to figure out what to do.
Maybe time to get a new laptop
as this one is getting 'up there'!

So until further notice I will not be posting as regularly
until things get back to where they should be.

Besides, we are snowed in and it will take 'days' to shovel out!!

    1. Got one this afternoon Jean, a laptop that is. Will pick it up in a couple of days as soon as they do what they have to do with it.
Just realized that this old one is very old and slow. Hope I can 'keep up' with the new one!!lol
Don't get sea-sick looking at that header!

    1. jaz! Patience is a virtue as my mother always said!!
We got about 30 cm (around a foot) but it drifted in places over 2 feet.
The photos will be coming soon....stay tuned.

  4. So sorry about the computer.I dread the day when I have to invest in a new one! Hasn't Sophie learned how to shovel yet?

    1. Mitch, you know how many photos we take? Sophie alone could easily fill up an external hard drive. My computer got so full that I had to 'store' a bunch and then things went a little crazy.....too much for an old computer I guess.
Sophie would shovel if she could but Ron does most as I can't. In fact I was telling him today that we ought to 'find' someone to do what he does. We have a guy doing the driveway already.

  5. I hope our pending snow storm for the next two days doesn't head that way for compounded snow accumulation. We just got shoveled out from the last and we're bracing for more.
There are so many options for uploading pics these days but it's the fun editing that you do that a laptop is wonderful for.
    Best of luck with both.

    1. Thanks Stew. I will definitely look up other options when my new one arrives.
I do hope that you keep that latest snow storm in Michigan....if you don't mind!! lol
On Monday here the forecast is +9C and rain!! Go figure. Could make things very messy indeed.

    1. It is for those who can Debra. I can't anymore, so Ron does the 'shovel' part that needs to be done around the deck and car. Driveway....a fellow with plow does it.

  7. Rats! I couldn't wait to see your Saturday morning photos, Jim! I spent almost 4 hours in the Apple store yesterday! I wanted Aperture, which required upgrading my operating system. That had a few snafus. Then when I uploaded Aperture, I had to upgrade to the newest iPhoto ~ with more snafus. Thank goodness I had an Apple tech or two helping me through the whole process! But I was late meeting Terry, Gary, and Cheri at Parkway. OMG! You can't walk out when you are in the middle of a complicated computer process!

Take care shoveling! Fortunately, if it snows more than an inch our HOA shovels. Yesterday people were in shorts on a balmy, sunny day, and today it is cold and snowy! Gotta love Colorado!

Don't be gone too long! Maybe you can use Ron's computer! Maybe you share ~ like Terry and I share our not so smart cell!
    Take care!

    1. I used Ron's computer Louise for the last two posts.....I don't want to push my luck!! lol Kidding of course. My new one will be ready soon.
Four hours eh? Your head must have been spinning!! Mine was this afternoon when I only spent 30 or so minutes listening to techie things'!!
Your weather sounds like ours Louise. Monday we will have rain and temp of 8C.....yesterday it was -18C and -25C wind chill.

  9. I'm having photo probs, too, but it's not with downloading them. It's with accessing photos that I downloaded in the past. Don't work too hard shoveling.

    Love,
    Janie

    1. You must know some 'computer savvy' person who could help, Janie. Good luck.
As I said above, I don't shovel any more but we need to find someone who does.
