Contemplative Monday

SEEDS

"The purpose of meditation is to look at something deeply and see its roots.
Whatever kind of action we take, if we look deeply into it,
we'll be able to recognize the seed of that action.
That seed may come from our ancestors.

Whatever action we take, our ancestors are taking it at the same time with us.
So father, grandfather, and great-grandfather are doing it with you;
mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother are doing it with you.

Our ancestors are in every cell of our body.
There are seeds that are planted during your lifetime,
but there are also seeds that were planted before you manifested as this body."

    1. OK then, I will!! lol
      I do know what you mean, this has been crazy winter. We just got back from the city, Mitchell, and NO ONE is allowed to park on any street, day and night, till the snow has mostly been removed by a legion of bulldozers and trucks!! I'd hate to have a business in town!

  5. Reflective words, and the snow, what a perfect place to reflect on our present and our past. Ditto to Mitchell's comment, and when will that snow stop falling?

    1. Oh, I think it has stopped, Jean, but the problem is that the temperatures are so cold, it just stays there!!
      And yes, just think we have the support of some of our ancestors. I say some because it is certain to me that I probably wouldn't get along with a few of them!! lol
