Haha!!! I remember that so well, does that say my age, or my good/excellent memory? Songs sung then, were with real words we could listen to and hear properly, and understand. Not like today's music!!! Loud, and louder, mumble, mutter, and repeat all over again. Thanks for the memory, My apologies to anyone in your family or you know who qualifies in the latter group.
That was a very good choice Jim. Mine was "Don't sleep in the subway" by Petula Clarke! I don't mind Petula, she has a good voice, but I'm not keen on the song any more. Perhaps because I wore out the vinyl playing it back then!
My first was " Cathy's Clown" Everly Brothers. My second must have been " Rubber Ball', by Bobby Vee. My friend and I used to listen to it over and over, probably because it was almost the only one we had . We must have been 14 or 15 at the time.
The first 45 I ever bought was "Hitchin' a Ride" by Vanity Fare. I still have it! Just played it the other day, in fact.
I loved it so much, still do, and all the ones mentionned above i loved as well, wow what a flashback! thank you Jim!
Hello Jim,Very interesting song. I enjoyed it. Music is simple compared to what we hear today. Have a lovely Sunday..
Great choice for the first, Jim. I love this song. I honestly don't remember which one was my first.

I really don't remember, but that's a good one.
