I've been listening to a couple of robins calling each other outside my window since 4am. I love mornings in spring.
I LOVE that sound of Robins too, Stew! So hopeful!
The return of the geese is one of my favourite first signs of spring. That and the lovely robins singing their little hearts out in the early morning hours. Spring is definitely here!
These guys are heading north to 'better pastures' but they always stop and stay at the local salt marshes.
What a great sight. Could you hear them too Jim?Daffs and Crocus are out here. Things are definitely looking up.
Chris, that is what got my attention in the first place....all the honking. Wonder how they determine who's at the front? You guys are ahead of us....must be the Gulf Stream Drift?!
We haven't seen any here yet -- but can they be far behind the Maritime ones?
Well you guys are bit further north than us, so pretty soon I am sure.
great photos! the sky is beautiful :)
Thanks Geanina! And nice to meet you.
I love to hear the geese as they pass overhead.
So do I Pat! Sounds like a choir rehearsal of sorts!
After a long winter, they sure are a sight for sore (chapped!) eyes :)
Jane, Yes! Like, where have you guys been!
Ah the geese returning ......
Yes, on their way further north, if you can believe that!!
Looks like no one noticed the birds lining up in the shape of a bird's head, except us...oh well!
Maybe WE are seeing things! Ever think of that!?
One of my most favourite sights and sounds -always makes me smile x
They certainly mark the seasons for us, don't they Janet.
hey jimbo, have you ever wondered why the line is always longer on one side of the birds flying, than the other?more birds. :P lmao
Hey Chris, you are ON girl!
I love to see them.xxx
Me too Lyn!
Perfectly pretty blue skies. Love.
When it is blue around here, it is very nice!
Thanks for the bird's head tip - I missed that first time through.I saw a meadowlark today. Our horned larks stay all winter, but the meadowlarks don't, so Spring is a-coming!
You must be very happy about that, Terry!
Are you kidding me - that is amazing! Great pick up - on watching the sky! Fabulous photo story!! I love watching the birds when they fly in groups - one of natures great shows!Vickips - I'm adding you to my blogroll on my sidebar~~
