Thinking Out Loud

I remember it very clearly.......I was around 19 years old and in my friend's car.

I said aloud: "You know Mike, everything is connected."

Oprah would have called it her 'ah-ha' moment.

It was mine. I don't know where that realization came from.

But at that moment the 'puzzle' of life began to make more sense to me.

My friend kind of gave me a look and asked me to explain what I meant.

I did the best I could and have spent the intervening time finding pieces to that puzzle..

There are so many pieces, aren't there!

  1. Beautiful again Jim. Your posts are so calming.
The light shining around Sophie and Ron looks like their auras - perhaps it is.

  8. Yes, jim, everything is SO connected. every bit of nature has it's purpose. every one of us humans have the same beating heart (unless we are dead) and except for the outter packages we come in, we all live and breathe the same.. thats why racism, pregdudice (sp.?) and judgment are SO wrong. whatever we do to eachother, we are really doing it to ourselves and you'd think by now, after the length of time we have populated this planet, we would all be united in doing what's best for everything and everyone, yet look how some people are... total disreguard for living things, including people. how sad is that?

    1. I know Chris, sometimes we don't act as though we are connected, do we.

  9. A thoughtful post Jim. Life really is like a puzzle, its pieces are intertwined and connected to others pieces, but in the end it's yours to find out how all those pieces come together...
