Let's Try This Again........

The last six days have been like a whirlwind.
I am relieved that this day has finally come and I can say that Ron is home.

I am thankful that he didn't have to stay in the hospital too long this second time.

The specialists figured it was the blood vessel that they didn't touch that gave him
'those funny feelings' Saturday evening and what landed him back to the ER
till today.

Ron got home late this afternoon and is settling in
and adjusting to his new health status.

It will take a while for these adjustments to feel normal
and he is eager to get right back in to the swing of things.

This has been an eye-opening experience for us both
and we appreciate the fragility of life even more than we did.

So back to the living we go with more knowledge of keeping the heart healthy.
Also once again we are so grateful for all the encouragement we have gotten
from so many people here and on Facebook.
Doing this on our own would have been a so much more difficult.
THANKS!

Sophie and I down at the beach the other day.

  7. Home is the best, apart from when a hospital visit and short stay is so necessary. Much relief all round for your updated news, may the improvements continue. Hugs to you both and Sophie, from Jean. ( p.s. I emailed Barb and KB with your Facebook news).

  9. Nice shadows, Jim. So like our lives, fragile, where a cloud can obscure our view. Here's is hoping for sun-shiny days and Ron adjusts to the medications quickly, to keep the clouds at bay. Sending hugs to all of you!

  11. You guys have been on my mind and I've been praying throughout the day. So glad Ron is home! Life is funny.. we learn so much along the way... thankful for medications and knowledge so that we are able to live normal lives with just a tweak of a lifestyle change. Take care now, and gear up for spring. I hear it's just around the corner...

  15. I left a comment over on Sophie's blog for both of you, but will just add here that those shadow photos are so neat! (Does anyone use that expression any more?) Just a suggestion, but I for one would be very interested to hear about your new heart-healthy knowledge. I would have pegged you two as already living pretty close to the perfect lifestyle. Perhaps, you can save the rest of us some hearty (sorry) frights by passing along what you have learned. Besides, that is, valuing every minute of the good life. That, I know you both did and continue to do in spades.

  16. Thanks for this update, Jim! I was definitely wondering! I'm really happy to hear that Ron wants to get right back in the swing of things. Life is to be lived, and I think it is important to make the most of every minute. Just don't go too overboard!!!!! Setbacks like this just make you realize how amazing the love of a souse is and how wonderful just plain old ordinary days are. Take care both of you! I agree with BJ's Carol above!

  19. Glad to hear Ron is in a more stable condition.
Are doctors intending to intervene with this other blood vessel,
or are they just monitoring the situation, or even that?!?
Nice to see Ron is eager, but he should stay cautious a bit.
Proper sleep and diet. low impact exercise, etc...
I figure you already know the drill...
    Good luck to you all!!

  21. So good to find all of this out before a really major event. These 'WAKE UP CALLS" are something that really can make us so much more appreciate our lives and all that we love. Can really change our approach to everything.
