Tropical Rain Forest Alert

We have had so much rain for the past month. How much rain
I heard you ask? Well, the most used route in the back garden
is no longer passable....as can be seen in photo below.
We used to be able to walk through this area and not hit
our heads on branches and leaves.

We are enjoying the great effects that raindrops have
on things, like this 'single' Peony.

We will be set on 'prune mode' for the rest of summer,
when the sun returns and everything grows even more.

Bet you never imagined Nova Scotia being the only
sub-tropical province in Canada, eh?

  1. Global warming. All of us in cool climates will become tropical. At least that was the line I used on poor Clive when I talked him into moving closer to my Mother! The peony is gorgeous but then you know I have a soft spot for them!

    1. Well, I hear that we are living in another global warming period....mind you the full extent may take a million years! so we have some time to enjoy this small part of it!
Yes, the peony. Right up there with my favourites.

  2. The peony is pretty, but the top shot really is a prize winner!

  3. It's been the same for us, Jim. Cooler temperatures and a lot more rain has made my garden explode! The plants are happy as clams, and growing like weeds. I've had to trim some of the larger ones back, so the smaller ones can get some light. What a contrast from last year when everything struggled to survive with the relentless heat and drought.
