Retro Saturday

                                    Front.

So many of us have a fascination with 'all things Japanese'. Or maybe it is just me!

    Inside.

I picked this 'notepad/billfold' up at a thrift shop recently. The scene on the front got my attention immediately. It's made of rice paper.

                                     Back.

I think it's the simplicity and tidiness that attracts me.

  1. I had something similar in my youth, Jim -- where it is now, I have no idea. This is beautiful and definitely something I would have picked up. :)

  4. I think simplicity and tidiness are shown in much asian art. My sister adopted her kids from Korean and has many fine pieces. Lovely.

  5. It's beautiful. Japanese simplicity brings peace. You made me think of something. My Aunt used to make Oriental flower arrangements. They were simple and powerful at the same time. Thanks for the memory.
