Sunday's Selection

Annie Lennox has always been a favourite of mine.

To me she is the 'whole package', so to speak. She is very politically involved, does a lot of charitable work  around the world and of course has a magnificent voice.

When she was with the Eurythmics she made a number of memorable hits.  Since on her own, she she has gone in a number of directions musically.

Hope you enjoy Here Comes the Rain and have a great Sunday.

  1. We are enjoying "here comes the rain again" off and on again, since last night.... Kills the tv reception, and the satellite internet for just enough time you walk away in disgust. Restarting is no fun....

    Happy Sunday, whatever you do!

  5. you know, i was never that fond of this single--though i remember it being the first one that put them on the map. i did enjoy the eurythmics though, and i love her solo work. i think if i ever saw her live i would not be able to stop crying--her voice is a revalation. one of my favorite artists ever.

  9. diane and i both love her music, her voice is beautiful.. thanks for a trot down memory lane, jim.. you mentioned in your comment about your friend who's son was wantin to liv with his bio mom...? my thoughts on that jim, are to give him support and permission to let him go.. because he will see how much he has in his adopted family specially if the bio mom has issues... and by "releasing him" so to speak, he will realize how much his adoptive [real mom] mom loves him. she wont lose him. i can feel it in my heart. he just may want to know her better.. but his mama wont lose him. i've always told my kids that real love is when you love some one enough you just want the best for them, even if it doesnt include you. i hope and pray your friend is strong, and you can tell her what i said if you so chose. take care, jim... and god bless your friends family.
