Good Morning!I remember these shows being on and I must have watched them, more likely I heard them as I was chasing little kids around.I don't believe we have "family night" any more on the basic channels. Blood, murder, sexual innuendo, even on the tamer shows. It's disgusting. But I'm just and old lady and what do I know?Have a nice weekend, Jim
You know lots!! And you write about it!Guess I was busy 'not being home' at that time.Have a good weekend too!
The Partridge Family was my fave!
You know I probably watched that one come to think of it because I 'feel' the characters coming back to me......
I definitely know of the characters, but I don't remember watching any of the shows.
Pat you were probably too bust taking photos!!
I take it The Brady Bunch wasn't a big hit in Canada, ay?I probably shouldn't admit this, but I STILL watch The Brady Bunch every Sunday. There's a channel here called METv (Memorable Entertainment Television)that plays all old shows, all the time. My Sundays start bright and early at 7am with Little House on the Prairie, and continues all day with shows like Happy Days, I Love Lucy, That Girl, I could go on and on. The Brady Bunch actually gets 2 hours every Sunday, as they play 4 episodes. I love it!
I wish we had that channel here, eh! (Canadians spell it this way) lolWe LOVE 'I Love Lucy'!!!! THE BEST!!! And Happy Days....I could go on!
Okay, I'll have to admit to having a 'PhD in Brady Bunch!' Even though my memory isn't what it used to be, embedded in my brain cells are many (!!) of the episodes that I seem to remember the plots of when I see it on TV--My siblings and I and our friends were avid watchers. On a sad note, the dad, Robert Reed (who was gay) died about 10 years ago from aids.
Gee, if you have your PhD then I flunked out!!! lol I had heard about Robert Reed death and to think he had 'fathered' all those kids!!!
I have only watched some reruns of The Brady Bunch, never saw the other two. Was there a dog in the Brady Bunch? If there was a shaggy dog, it was my favorite. If there was no shaggy dog, then the housekeeper, Alice (was that her name) would be my favorite. I know this makes a lot of sense!!!
It must! Because I understand exactly what you are saying!! lolThat's right, Alice! She was great and maybe a 'little ahead of her time'....I am reading into her character....probably only in MY head!Have a great weekend Inger!
I watched The Brady Bunch and the Partridge Family, the other one rings a bell but I'm not sure.I love those stress free sitcoms and once in a while , if I catch one I will gladly watch it. Nowadays I must confess I'm more interested in the decor!
LOL! So true! Don't you just LOVE visiting that retro look again! The sitcoms now are so serious and complicated....not interested at all in most of them.
I've seen these shows as reruns. Tv was a no-no when I was growing up. "It'll rot your mind", lol!
My Mom tried her best to stop us from watching too much TV and for the most part early on she was successful. I think you survived without TV quite nicely, Terry, don't you?!
I think I saw every episode of the Partridge family and Brady Bunch---!!Vicki
Get out of here! Serious? You were not alone as these were THE ones to watch!Hi, by the way!
What a blast from the past! I have no idea about Nanny and the professor (I don't remember that one at all), but I did watch the other ones; not regularly, mind you, but often enough to know the shows fairly well. Back then, we spent more time outdoors. We were barely ever glued to the TV.
Hey, I really like your comments and appreciate the time you took to do so.
