Rain, Rain Go Away Come Again Some Other Day!

OK! We are getting way too used to waking up and hearing rain hitting the windows. Let me see, I believe we have had only one day of sunshine in over 20 plus days.

Am I complaining? Yes I am. It would be so nice to remember what the warmth of the sun feels like again. And it would be great if we could get out to work in the garden.

I guess the weekend will be sunny. My grandmother would always say: 'Patience is a virtue." Well Nana, I am trying my best here!

Tomorrow I am taking Dad out for a doctors appointment. Should be 'interesting' trying to duck the showers with him in a 'transport' chair. I'll let you know.

In the meantime, 'back at the ranch', I am looking out the windows at a very green garden just waiting for a ray of sunshine to hit it......any day now.

Remember that 'sunny' day I mentioned, well these pics were taken on Sunday
along the canal in the Gaspereaux Valley.

  1. Stop your bitching! Don't let Nana down. All that rain is making your garden greener.
    You're welcome.

  7. Well, we haven't seen rain in about the same amount of time, altho there's a pretty good chance for it on Friday. It's amazing that areas of Louisiana and Mississippi are getting flooded while they're in a drought! My grass is actually crunching when we step on it--usually it's lush and green and soft. Crazy weather!!!

  9. Hi Jim!! I'm sorry I've not visited your blog in a few days--I'm at work now and trying to catch up...But I know all too well how you feel about the crummy weather. We've had wonderful weather here the last few days, but we'll be trading it for rain when the sun hits you on the weekend--I guess the sun can't be in 2 places at once!! I hope you're having an enjoyable day, despite the clouds!!!

Your Nana sounds like my mother. She would say "don't wish your life away" when I'd whine.

  13. As much as rain is appreciated, I don't "do" clouds for days on end. Only one day of sunshine out of twenty would drive me to drink. Well, let me rephrase that: I would drink a lot more! LOL! I love my sunshine, I bask in its warmth. By August, I will be singing a different tune, probably, but for now just give me 90 degrees and a lot of sun. Wishing the same for you, my friend!

  14. Jim? Complaining? No way!! Ha ha. Well, we had weeks of the wet stuff as well and I was just on the verge of putting my two cents worth in when that strange yellow thing started showing up in the blue sky.
Stay dry, guys. Tell Dad hi!

  18. Rain ugh! Normally we get plenty of it here in the UK, but for some reason, we have had a really warm and sunny spring. I would tell you to look on the bright side, but I wouldn't if it was raining so much! ;-)
