And The 'Painting' Has Begun

This time of year I look forward to the first swaths of colour that appear.
It's like starting with a clean and empty canvas.

And see what has started around my town.

I really like the red buds coming out on this maple tree near Lake Banook yesterday.

In a couple of days, probably over the long weekend here in Canada,
this Star Magnolia bud will be one of many on this tree in our garden.

Let the 'painting' continue.

  2. I love when nature starts to flush with spring, the subtle hues spreading outward to the tips of bushes and trees. That magnolia bud is gorgeous, Jim! Have a great day!

  4. It really is remarkable that these plants come back after all that they have been through. I like the "misty" quality of the first shot Jim!
