Saturday Morning Post

I had a good visit with my father yesterday afternoon. I plan to do a post about it next week.

This past week I also spoke with my niece Elaine who is doing her best to get her head
around a recent diagnosis of breast cancer. Her treatment will be starting soon.

There are times when we just can't ignore what is in front of us
and just have to reflect on what we are seeing and proceed.

  1. That's right, Jim. Sometimes all we can do is just keep on putting one foot in front of the other and seeing where it takes us.

  2. Looking forward to the post of your dad, Jim. And I pray that your niece gets through her treatments as comfortably as possibly with a full recovery.

    1. I wish I could have taken photos with Dad yesterday but there were others involved and due to 'privacy' issues I couldn't but none the less I will post about it.
      Thanks.

  3. So true - we have to keep on going forward - towards the light, even if we can't see it. So sorry to hear about your aunt.

  4. So sorry about your niece, Jim. Will keep her in my thoughts.

So true that ignoring problems just seems to make them bigger.

    1. Thanks Nancy. I am a pro at ignoring things and you are correct, they do tend to get BIGGER when ignored!

  5. These photographs are beautiful Jim. Keep moving and dealing with what comes your way, one step at a time. That's what I'm always telling myself. I had to attend the funeral of an eighteen year old former student of mine yesterday. I found out about his death the evening before. It was shocking and heartbreaking. I am so grateful for each day that I am given. I keep sending Elaine positive thoughts and prayers. Take care!

  7. the other choice would be to do nothing and get lost in the mire. If we don't have hope then I don't know how we would deal with anything, much less the everyday obstacles. Glad you visit went well with your dad. Keeping Elaine in my thoughts and sending my best her way.
