Contemplative Monday

"The camera is an instrument that teaches people how to see without a camera." Dorothea Lange, photographer.

(Ms.Lange's work was what got me interested in photography back in the late 70's. Check her out.)

  1. While this statement is so true, a photographer (such as yourself) can orchestrate the composition so to eliminate the distractions. Allowing the viewer to see the beauty in the photograph. We all see the clouds everyday. You have made them a work of art.

  2. I love this sentiment, Jim. I wonder how many things I would miss if I didn't go looking through my viewfinder. :)

  3. That's so true. For me, Blogging inspires me to bring my camera. My camera makes me see things I would never have noticed without it.

  5. How true is that!? I love taking pictures on my walks. I see things in my pictures that I never noticed when I was out there. Then, the next time, I look for what I missed before.

  6. How true! I have found that I try to carry my camera everywhere since I have started my blog. Although I think I will have to get a different camera because everyone's pictures look sooo goood..
