Ready for Take-Off

We had a snowfall yesterday with very strong winds......
I mean VERY STRONG WINDS.
It wasn't noticeable at home but when we got to MacDonald Hill....
and got out of the car, we could barely stay on the spot.

But we managed to get up to the top without falling over.

Ron and Sophie went a little further
and at one point Ron was about to take-off.

  2. That wind from your hill came here this afternoon, doors slammed shut, things fell off the wall, and the huge outdoor umbrella, in a VERY heavy stone filled tall pot, blew right over. Stay firmly feet on the ground , or I might find you flying in our gate.On the other hand, if that could happen, let those feet fly a little.

    1. Yikes, it appears that wind has traveled very far, Jean! Ron could have easily arrived on your front doorstep had he a pair of wings! We have never felt such a strong wind before!
Who knows what the future may bring?

  3. Did he finally take off? :)

A lot of snow has come down the past couple of days. It's finally winter around here. We were spoiled for so long with mild weather!

    1. He could have, Martha! Seriously, if he had one of those para-glider kites, he would have flown away!!
Winter here now too. That's OK....that means that spring is just around that corner, right?

  4. A brilliant photo. So that's where our cyclonic winds have gone.
