Eclectic Tastes

80's music was different from all the rest.
It was its own genre and leaving the previous decade behind.

We were busy during the 80's teaching fitness classes/aerobics
and always making new tapes for our class routines.
Whenever I hear any of this music my ears perk up
and I can almost remember the routine!

Here is one example we used in the 'cool down'.

Have a wonderful Sunday everyone.

  1. 1984, that was another good year for the really great music as we once knew it to be. Now, I struggle to interpret the words, listen to repetitive strains, and finally... Turn It OFF. Bring back those wonderful lyrics and music.

    1. Music sure has changed since those days, Jean. Not all bad but certainly different and for other 'ears' to hear.

  2. I used to really enjoy George Michael's music and the line, "Guilty feet have got no rhythm," is one of my all-time favourites. Thanks!

    1. I'd say YOU were young, Martha. It can be fun 'going back' to our younger years....most of the time that is.

  6. I always look forward to Eclectic tastes, because you have such good taste! I love 80's music, Tina Turner is the woman! Also - I may or may not be singing careless whispers really loudly and passionately right now (I definitely am)
    Have a great week :)

    1. Yes, Tina is THE WOMAN!! We saw her twice in concert...once in the late 70's and the other in the late 80's. The BEST!
So that was you singing!!!! Loved it!
A good week to you too.

  8. '80s, my favourite decade for music and well...in general. This song was particularly poignant to me as I had something similar happen in my life...Careless whispers of a good friend changed a relationship I was in.

  9. I rather liked 80's music. I think it was all the more fascination as MTV and the like were such a novelty.
