Oh My Gosh, but look at those stunningly coloured stones, perfect for the pathways. Sophie, you'll have to wait some time, that's for sure. Cheers, Jean
i never knew that this happened. so, eventually the sand will come back on shore and cover the stones?
Amazing. I've never witnessed this.
Oh wow I had no idea that this happens. Kinda neat actually!! Gives the rocks some exposure.
I never knew this happened either-it kinda cool-I would be searching for some cool rocks
Wow, quite a difference!
amazing that this would happen Jim, I never knew...wow that would feel well, unsettling, especially for poor Sophie...Catch glimpses and photos and the sand will return
But all those beautiful stones have been revealed. I love this shadow shot.
Sand is easier to walk on than those beautiful beach cobbles. I was amazed at what the surf could do on the North Shore of Oahu. It was constantly and dramatically rearranging the sand. The ocean is amazing! Have a good one!
Is it a gradual deposit of sand? I'm sure it depends on many things, but I'm wondering how long it takes the sand to come back.
Terry, it can change overnight but usually takes a few days.....all depends on a number of factors as you say.
Wow! I've never seen this before, I didn't know it happened. Hopefully it will return, for Sophie's sake! I loved the link you sent me the other day too about why beaches make us happy, it was an interesting read!H-E :)
love your shadow shot, but no fun having your sand disappear. Hope it blows back in soon!
That sand is on our shore!! HAHAHA! We get these at times also...
Hey, I really like your comments and appreciate the time you took to do so.
