Disappearing Act Hits The Shores of Nova Scotia

Last week when Tropical Storm Arthur left our area, he took all the sand with him!

This happens after every storm actually. I believe it is hiding just off shore
and with the help of currents and wave action, it will return soon.
I hope so because whatever will Sophie do if she can't 'dig dig dig'?

  1. Oh My Gosh, but look at those stunningly coloured stones, perfect for the pathways. Sophie, you'll have to wait some time, that's for sure. Cheers, Jean

  8. Sand is easier to walk on than those beautiful beach cobbles. I was amazed at what the surf could do on the North Shore of Oahu. It was constantly and dramatically rearranging the sand. The ocean is amazing! Have a good one!

  9. Is it a gradual deposit of sand? I'm sure it depends on many things, but I'm wondering how long it takes the sand to come back.

    1. Terry, it can change overnight but usually takes a few days.....all depends on a number of factors as you say.
