The Goalposts Of Life

I was never one to play competitive sports when I was a kid.
I figured I would be 'creamed' my first time out!! And I would have been!
So I stuck to the sidelines so to speak as far as sports teams go.

We were visiting my 'childhood playground'/park yesterday in Halifax's north end.
I came across these goalposts and felt much more comfortable
this many years later taking photos of them.

  6. Interesting photo. The dark tree silhouette at the left of the 3 in the centre looks like a tall kid choosing to be on the outside rather than in the thick of crazed competition. (I would have been there with you.)

    1. I never noticed that Carol. It would have been good to have you there for company.

  7. I huddled on the sidelines in terror, always one of the last picked for a team. Gym teachers were my nemesis.

    Love,

  8. I would have been on the sidelines with you, Jim! LOL... Sports wasn't my strength either. Or even a real interest for me. I played with the neighbourhood kids, but never cared to join any teams.

That is a fantastic photo, by the way. I love all the lines in it.
