Doing A 360

Yesterday Sophie and I had a glorious walk along the shoreline
and came back along the trail towards the parking area (photo below).
I stopped at one point and took a photo for each direction:

Ahead of me facing west....

Facing south to my left....

Behind me to the east.....

And to the north on my right....

  5. Wide open spaces make my heart sing! What a lovely place to walk. The directions make me think of all the times in my classroom we worked on directions. They were always posted in my classroom. We'd play a game where the kiddos would have to point to the direction I named by flinging themselves on the floor and making directional arrows with their bodies. Up down. Up down. Around and around. That would get their blood moving! I miss that! I was always making up ridiculous things to get the kiddos moving. I realized after I retired that I was doing it as much for me as the kids. I could not sit down for any amount of time in the classroom. I was always on the move. I so feel for all the young boys who are being piled on with pen and paper, bubble filling activities that high stakes testing is producing. Wow! I kind of went off on a tangent! LOL! Have a good one!

    1. Hi Louise! I hear you about missing certain aspects of teaching children. I wonder if they enjoyed it as much as we did? I am sure they did!

    1. Pat, this is not unusual most of the year. Never too many other people around. We are not densely populated in Nova Scotia.
