Par For The Course

Yesterday we drove to Eastern Passage which is to the east of Dartmouth
and faces the open ocean with the city far in the distance.

You can see the fog bank that was just hanging off in the distance
waiting to come ashore in the early evening.
This is Devil's Island that is directly opposite a golf course.

What a beautiful spot this is.....on a sunny day!
I can imagine golfers pausing and just 'breathing in the view' along this 'fairway'.

I know we did.

  1. Keep that very view in mind when having an X-Ray. " Breathe In, , Hold Your Breath, Breathe Out" Glorious view for any golfer, or doggie that is out with her Dads. Cheers, Jean.

    1. Good idea Jean, I'll keep this view in mind when I need it.
This spot was all new to Sophie and she was all over the map with excitement....had to watch her as there were many 'things' on the beach that she would have devoured!!

  2. Spectacular place, Jim! How do they ever finish the golf game? I'd be spending most of my time soaking in the surroundings...and even sneaking in a few photos...LOL...

    1. That you would, Martha! Lots to focus on here. What had attracted us to come here was the fog that was moving up the harbour when we were in Dartmouth a little earlier. So off we went to Eastern Passage....about 20 minutes away. When we got there the fog had receded a bit but we made the best of it.

    1. Same feelings about golf too Mitchell but love where they are located usually.
Years back Ron and I and a friend rowed out to Devil's Island to meet the lighthouse (no longer there) keeper and his small family....spent the afternoon there. It was lovely.

    1. Most of these places we go to, Inger, are pretty close by....within 30-45 minutes away.......remember, Nova Scotia is almost completely surrounded by water and it never takes long to get to it.
      Good to see you!
