Zen Evening With Zim

The sun is beginning to set earlier and as such this affords good lighting
for taking photos.

This photo below was taken around 5 PM yesterday evening in Halifax
at Point Pleasant Park.

As I have mentioned a few times, I could watch the ships come and go
in the harbour all day long.

This one had just pulled in to the container pier
and was settling in for the night.

  1. A friend of our used to live on the Ballard Locks in Seattle. When we would visit, we would spend hours (and hours and hours) watching the ships and boats pass through.

    Your photo is exceptional!

    1. Well thank you, kind sir.
I have done this (watching ships come and go) since I was a child.......daydreaming about stowing away and visiting exotic places!

  2. I could watch ships all day too, Jim! I was watching everything that moved on the water in Victoria! Not too many ships here in Colorado though, although we do have a Navy here! I thought Sophie did live at the beach LOL! Oh yeah ~ We're home! Happy Thursday!

    1. OK! I have to ask! A Navy in Colorado? Why? and more importantly....HOW?
Always good to be home and energize for the next trip!!

    2. LOL! I had to ask too, when Navy personnel from Buckley Airbase volunteered in my class one year!!! I guess the Nave is in charge of inland waters too, and we have some! I'm zany from lack of sleep and going to crash soon! Take care!

  3. Took me a minute to figure out who "Zim" was. I thought perhaps you'd all changed your names -- Zim, Zon and Zophie?
