Out In A Storm

This video was taken last Saturday
while 'Andrea' was sweeping through the province,
that would be 'Post Tropical Storm Andrea'.

We were feeling a little cooped up,
so we headed to the park in Halifax with Sophie in tow.

This stream was dried up the day before.
The park felt quite enchanted with a beautiful
green canopy over us to protect from the rain.

    1. Funny thing Martha, we have been going to this park for a while now and just recently discovered this path and stream.

  3. That is absolutely beautiful! Sophie was obviously enjoying herself, and I can see why. It is a gorgeous and serene setting...and I just love the sound of the water!

  4. Happy to hear that is the extent of it. Lovely forest and rushing water. You will have to excuse me now, I must visit Mrs. Murphy. (The sound of running water - don't you know)
    Have a great day!

  5. It's not so pretty here in Florida when we have heavy rain. My backyard turns into a lake. The dogs are filthy when they have to wade through it. Drainage is very poor in my part of Jacksonville. The water in the streets can be quite deep. But I love your video.

    Love,
    Janie

    1. Hi Janie. You see we don't normally get a lot of rain at once like we did on the weekend and when it does rain a lot it will build into a small lake here as well....at least till the tide goes out to allow it to go out with it.

  9. An enchanted forest. And this made me miss my Princess and Angel, who both knew how to retrieve a ball. Soldier and Samson don't have a clue!

    1. Aw! Princess and Angel must have had lab/retriever in them. I know, some dogs just don't play that game, just like some don't care to swim.

  11. I loved this video, Jim!
    What a refreshing sight!
It is hot and dry here. We hit 100ºF today, the earliest day in the year to do so in Colorado on record. We also have very low humidity and strong winds.
There are bad fires here, some thousands of people evacuated, and homes burning.
The thought of what people are feeling and experiencing is heartbreaking. I can't imagine losing my home. A home is just a thing compared with people and animals, but it's still your home. It would be devastating!

Sophie's tail is getting higher and waggier! Yeah!
I'm going to look at that video again!

  12. Such lush green! Its officially summer time in North Texas... The highs are 104C, the Gras is brown and everyone is in stage four water rationing. The brooks sounds so soothing trickling along, and its GREAT to finally hear how you sound too! :)
