Thinking Out Loud

As Ron and Sophie were staring out into the north Atlantic

late yesterday afternoon, I couldn't help but realize that we here

in Nova Scotia are in the very last days of fall.

There was the first 'arctic' wind coming from the north and telling us

it is time to get ready for that blast from winter.
Bring it on!

  2. Hello Jim,
Wonderful photography! Love the first picture the most - reflecting, reflection in a silhouette!

    1. Thanks Ivan. The sun was so bright plus reflecting off the water so much that I had to really 'tighten up' the settings on my camera to allow as little light as possible to come through. This one worked out well.

  3. They are amazing photographs .... the sun looks green! You are so lucky living near the sea. I am about as far as I can get from the Ocean being in Oxford. We are predicted our first Artic conditions this weekend too. Boo!

    1. That is not the sun Annie, it's called something or other when you shoot into the sun these things can appear.....sometimes they can be annoying.
We are lucky to be within driving distance from the open ocean....less than a few minutes. Behind us is a very large tidal salt marsh which attracts wildlife.

  5. Nice shots! Yep, here it comes, will be here by Saturday. Frost and that chill that will most likely stick around until the new leaves come out in the spring. The roller coaster has finally decided to rest.

    1. You are right, at least it will be consistent. We are just missing Hurricane Sandy as long as it continues to track towards New England! Whew!

    1. The latest we've heard Terry is that 'Sandy' is staying in and around New England but it is being monitored closely from Nova Scotia.
