Eclectic Tastes

This past week was a sad one here in Nova Scotia as we lost a member of a popular Celtic music group,  Raylene Rankin from The Rankin Family (click here to learn more about this very talented family).

Ron and I were fortunate to see Raylene along with two other local female singers in a small- venue concert in Halifax two summers ago. Her voice is something one does not soon forget.

At the 3:00 minute mark on this clip, she is the third from the left.

Fare thee well, Raylene.

    1. Pretty well all Nova Scotians embraced this group when they first 'appeared on the scene'.

  5. I'm a Rankin Family fan too. I was so shocked to hear of Raylene's death -- I didn't know she was battling cancer. What beautiful voices they all have in that talented family!
