It Was A 'Walk In The Park'

Come along on our walk through Point Pleasant Park in Halifax.

The weather is cool, about 10C, with a slight breeze.

There is still some colour despite the below freezing past couple of nights.

But the 'colours' are starting to fade.

One brave sailor out on the Northwest Arm......

Sophie meeting two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels....not sure what the tongue is all about.

Leaves turning to bronze........

Can't beat a sky-blue backdrop!

One last look behind......

  1. Your last photo, looking back, is great, lovely autumn colours, and I promise to post more of our spring to summer beauty as it unfolds. Viral, that was a scary thought, Jim!!! Your words so cheered me, thank you so very much. Greetings from Jean.

    1. It is a great park and it is starting to 'regrow' again after being devastated by Hurricane Juan in 2003.
Halifax is not like Vancouver where sailing is year-round....it will be stopping here pretty soon.

  3. No wonder we had the Group of 7. Every time I see photos like these of fall colors I want to paint them. Gorgeous. And yes, that is a very brave sailor..

  10. Your photos really are lovely! We are past peak here with our fall, but walks in places like this don't matter, because there's still enough color to enjoy!

I see parts of Canada have snow--Any in your forecast?

  12. It's just sad that we will have some 5 months or so before the green starts to show up again.
In s/w Michigan we don't see much snow. It's just brown. Brown, wet, cold.
Looking forward to the next vacation already!
