Snap Out Of It!!!!

Since what happens in the United States directly affects pretty well everything that goes on in the world.....at least for the next while until China takes over,  it is very important for all of us to take heed of the coming election in the US.

This video pretty much states exactly how I feel about the state of affairs in my country of Canada as well....with only a few name changes of the characters.

It really is time for us all to wake up, smell the coffee and really care about what is going on around us.

Warning: if you are offended by the 'F' word, then I would advise you either 'brace yourself' or
don't look at it.

  1. I guess i don't offend easily, myself using the F word occasionally when I deem it necessary, and this an example of when it is necessary. I keep saying people's apathy toward politics is appalling. You put the wrong man in charge and all things go to hell. Somehow, Bush comes to mind...

    1. If they/we don't then we only have ourselves to blame.

  3. It's hard for people to wake up when politics put them into such a deep sleep.

    1. Vicki, you are so right! Look at the people that are 'running' in our area and go from there. Doesn't matter what party they are as long as they PROMISE to work for us and not themselves.

  5. It would be wise indeed, if people would effin' wake up. You are first person in twenty-thirty years to even put it in front of me; my thoughts that China would take over.

    1. Somehow I would prefer that the US remain as the nation to lead the world and set a good example to the rest, rather than have China at that helm!!

    2. True... we'll just have to see how the election goes etc.
I didn't mean it was going to happen real soon. (they have to poison us all first)

    1. And as soon as we all wake up, maybe then things will balance out as far as the very wide discrepancy between the 'haves and the have-nots', and the return of power to our elected officials.

  7. Not at all offended by the F word, but greatly offended by most of the practices and policies of the candidate being promoted here.

    1. And this is what makes our democracy work....differing views and deciding who is best for the job. Thanks for your opinion Pat, I appreciate it.

  9. Pretty shocking stuff Jim; as I'm sure it was intended to be. But it makes some powerful points. Most importantly we need to know who the heck we're voting for, be and informed voters, be clear on what's important.

And you are so right my friend we are all of us connected to each other as citizens of the world.

    1. And what is important to you may not be important to me. But that is OK....as long as we are, as you said Jen, informed.

  10. That is quite the bedtime story! You are right though, with a change of names and actors someone should make a Canadian one!

Thanks so much for your kind comments about Freddie. To me no sacrifice is too big for my baby. :)

  11. I loved the video, Jim. I really like Samuel L. Jackson, strong character and all. Yes, people are asleep when it comes to politics. We should know that well here. Canadians are one of the most apathetic groups when with that. Maybe there isn't anyone inspiring enough to hold our attention. Still, we should pay attention and always cast our vote intelligently. I don't know much about the US elections, but I have read some articles and watched some videos, and I have to say that I really don't like Mitt Romney. Just something about him.

    1. Thanks Martha. Yes, we Canadians are pretty apathetic at the best of times. Good point about about lack of inspiring leaders.....it will be interesting to see how inspirational Justin Trudeau will be.
I will look at this video now......thanks.
