Contemplative Monday

I saw this clip for the first time on the weekend. It was on Karen Maezen Miller's blog.

In general, I think most animals can teach us something about ourselves. This fellow, Buck, in the clip certainly has a presence around horses.

  1. Very true - and the same can be said for people who own dogs and " .... have dog problems ...."! Problem is more likely the people than the dog!

  2. Looks like a good documentary! And JohnD is right -- it would apply to any human/animal relationship.

  5. Love your header shot.

We saw the movie "Buck" and I would highly recommend it to everyone...owning animals or not. There is a lot to be learned. Buck is my kind of guy.

  6. I think I really want to see this. It looks very interesting. I have seen some nasty behavior around animals and it is upsetting.

    Good choice for Monday, Jim!

  8. I saw this documentary and it was incredible. It was the oddest thing, I went by myself one Sunday, just up and decided to do it. I have always been half afraid of horses, never really been a horse fan.

And then halfway through the film, I realized that this was not really about horses exclusively, but mostly about life.
