Wordless Wednesday.......again......almost

Waiting for the latest update on the status of Hurricane Earl heading our way.

We live up by that number 2!

People along the North Carolina coast are also watching closely.

We remember too well the devastating aftermath of Hurricane Juan in September 2003.

Direct hit on Nova Scotia.

Lots of damage everywhere.

So we sit, wait and will be ready this time.

  1. here I sit hoping it won't be as bad as they say it could be...stay safe!!!

  2. I hope it blows itself out before it reaches you!

  3. OMG! What a worry! Keep

  4. Good luck. Here's hoping that the weather people are wrong and it changes course way out to sea.

  5. I was so close to booking a cruise from NY to Halifax and back that was set to leave on Friday. Instead we rented a camper and are spending the week in West Michigan.
I hope that you are as lucky as I was on this one. Having just gone through a tornado, I can say fasten everything down. At least you know it's coming.

  6. We`ll keep our fingers crossed he blows out to sea!

  7. We have been following this one along with you. I just hope it downgrades long before it comes ashore. And if Earl does make landfall then I am praying it does not meet up with a secondary system. You and yours are in our thoughts and prayers.

GRAB YOUR WADERS in case. :O)

  8. We on the Gulf Coast do tend to breathe a selfish sigh of relief when the hurricanes make that right turn towards the East Coast but that certainly doesn't mean we're not thinking about everyone in Earl's (and Fiona's) path. The season is only half over, unfortunately, so I'm sure we'll be seeing some of Mother Nature's wrath before the end of November. In the meantime, batten down and snuggle up! PS--I totally ADORE your little chimey widget!

  9. Got plywood etc? I hope Earl misses you! Yep, tie down everything! I know, my watching isn't going to help but........

  10. I hope this will pass you by. I didn't even know you got hurricanes that far north. I'll keep an eye on it too, but like Sharon, it won't help much, except with good thoughts sent your way.--Inger

  11. I'll be watching and hoping it misses you, my brother in NC, in-laws on the eastern shore of MD, and everyone else.

  12. Thanks all! Will certainly keep you posted on the developments.

Hey, I really like your comments and appreciate the time you took to do so.
