Sunday Reflections

We took a walk along the Gaspereau Canal yesterday morning.

As I have mentioned on a previous post, it is one of our favourite places to walk.

Sophie has been coming here since she was very little and she is up and down into the Canal as fast as we can throw her ball.

All year round the Canal reflects the plant growth that borders it. With a few ripples, the reflections are quite distorted and lovely.

Reminds me of a Matisse painting.

I wonder if he saw everything with this effect.

Interesting to imagine.

Love how the birch trees are but squiggles.

Oh to be able to paint and capture this.

But I guess I did.

With the camera.

Have a reflective Sunday.

  3. I just finished my post of almost the same name as yours. While you have water, I have clouds. Isn't nature wonderful? You could have been in Monet's garden. Those reflections could have been in a pond right next to his waterlilies. And, yes,you did capture it with your camera. And it helped calm my mind this morning. Thank you, my friend.

  4. It's so easy to get lost in those reflections. I appreciate a photo of such things even more than a painting. It really takes you there.

  6. Wow, these are very cool pictures.

And...that little dinging sound on your blog? It took me so long to figure out it was actually from my computer and not from something else going on in the room or outside!

  7. Beautiful pictures, so calm and peaceful. Reflections on water draw you in, somehow. You're lucky to have so many different kinds of bodies of water near you.
