Saturday Morning Post

Where did all the snow go?
Earlier in the week we had lots of snow
but after two days of steady rain, no more.

From my perch at work on Sunday....

Beets anyone?

Our birch trees yesterday morning....

For a few years now when we are at the park in Halifax,
we get Sophie to sit and stay at a certain spot.
We then proceed to walk away from her and expect her to remain there.
She does 99.9% of the time. It is a good practice for her and us
as it reinforces safety commands if ever needed.

At the boardwalk in 'black n white'.....

Valentine's flowers and the Buddha.

Always ready.....

Ron in the beach dunes a couple days ago......

Saw these seals off Point Pleasant Park yesterday.
They are either Gray Seals or Harbour Seals (which kind of makes sense
as they were in the harbour).

A holiday here on Monday and we went for a walk
with sister, Mary/Michael, niece/Colin, and the dogs.

See, all the snow is now gone except for a bit down this path.
Spring has arrived?

  1. First cabbage . . . now beets . . . are you guys turning into Ukrainians?

    1. LOL! All the way, Debra! Long live the Ukraine!!

  2. Great collection of images, Jim. That is a great exercise with Sophie. And she obeys 99.9% of the time. Very cool. But I like that she still has a tiny sliver of rebel in her (.1%). Quite the character, Miss Sophie is :)

    1. Oh Sophie has a tad more than .1% rebel in her, Martha!! We have always respected he independence and long as she and others are safe.

    1. If you guys are ever in these 'parts' of the world, you will have to visit St.John's, Newfoundland. That is where I got this 'fish on a stick'.You would LOVE this quaint little city. They speak their own form of English. I had no clue what they were saying most of the time.

  4. Great composite of this weeks best ~ thanks!

Now beware or I just might take your picture!

    1. I'll be watching your every move, RDT!
