To The Point

I have always gotten myself in trouble over the years
mostly due to 'getting to the point' of the matter at hand.
I guess it is due to lack of tolerance/patience
when someone is 'beating around the bush'
about some topic or other.

I had loads of patience for children during my teaching years
and I am trying my best to gather some, patience that is, for adults.

Now these two I usually have all the patience in the world for....
as they head towards the 'point' of this sandbar at Eastern Passage Beach.

  1. Patience is a virtue, so they say, but I'm afraid I'm a bit lacking. But some, yes, I have pockets full of patience.
I love your image, Jim. Beautifully done.

  2. I need to learn to be more patient. It's not my strong point! Liking the vintage tint in the photo!

    1. Don't we all, Craig. I think it is not a strong point among us humans in this 21st century.
I like how this edit came out as well, thanks.

  3. I have heaps, but I have a " peaceful" personality. Those who are "precise" like Hugh, do not like to wait for people, time, events, or repairs that should have been done last week, or even yesterday. If you read Alison Mooney's book, "Pressing the right buttons" it helps so much in understanding how each of us is different, but also each can be right. Tell them, Jim, not to prevaricate, but decide, or speak out right then!!

    1. It must be a 'male thing' maybe, Jean. Wish the whole world was peaceful like yourself....can you just imagine?
I have done this in the past but some feel it is confrontational.

    1. So that is how you get so much done in the run of a day, Joyce. Maybe impatience is the key!! lol I am certain all that know you forgive you because of your skills in the kitchen/house/garden and everywhere else!!

  7. I'm typically quite patient but like anyone else, I have my limits! I guess with adults you figure they should know better :)

  8. Like Jean, I tend toward patience in my dealings with others (and with myself). However, I sometimes rush to judgement - I'm trying hard to change this. I guess we all have behaviours that can be improved. I'm glad you're patient with Ron and Sophie. It's good to be on our best behavior with people we love.

    1. The older I get, Pat, the more patience I am acquiring. It seems to come more naturally now. Maybe because I am more discriminating with whom I socialize.
It is easier with the people we love, I feel.

  9. I always felt like I'd used up all my patience by the end of the school day.
