Oh I totally agree Jim. I can think of lots of paths I have taken in the past that I wished I hadn't, but thankfully I did because they bought me to where I am this minute.
And look at all the 'paths' you are taking right now as we speak!!
Oh yes! That would be very interesting. There are paths I took in the past that I don't think I'd take today, but even so, I ended up in a great place today. I am very happy where I am right now.
That's right Martha. Those 'other' choices we all made that we don't particularly like, have brought us to where we are today. And yes, we are happy about where we are!
A thought-provoking post!
Hi Pat. Yes it can be and we could spend way too much time thinking about the choices we have made. Besides, there is not too much we can do now other than accept where we are and be happy with it.
"And I took the road less traveled by . . . "Love,Janie
And I am sure you are happy you did, Janie! I know you are!
Those other paths are like 'what ifs'...
'What ifs' and 'who cares' now really. Have a good day Fiona.
I so agree. You know I just finished looking back over 50 years in the U.S. and I thought about all the twists and turns in my life's path as I wrote each post.
And look where 'all those paths' have taken you Inger!! Here!!! I/we are so glad you chose what you did!Your '50 years in the U.S.' was a wonderful series you did and all the decisions that you were confronted with. Great job!
Beautiful and inspiring post.
Hi Linda! Good to see you! Thanks for stopping by.
Have had similar thoughts myself the last few days, for no reason in particular.
Isn't it funny when we start doubting things and just wondering....if. I think it's all a way we use to get to that decision and feeling of contentment.Nice to see you.
Oh, yes. I catch myself sometimes wondering about that one too ...
Hi Angelika. Good to see you here. I think we all do this at some point....especially when there are those 'big decisions' to make in our lives.Have a great day.
Hi Jim, I'm just getting round to replying and saying big thanks for your kind comment on my blog last week.I often think about this, if we had done something slightly different our whole lives as we know them could be completely different. An overwhelming thought actually!Hayley-Eszti
Hi Hayley....good to see you here. I guess the thing to do is learn to accept where we are at this moment and proceed forward with acceptance.Hope your day is going well.
Jim, thought provoking, I so often wonder where I would be if I had chosen another path, or lived in another place. But, the path that led me to having a blog is the best, the most trodden one, with the gate open wide for me to walk through. Lovely words that suit your pic so well. Greetings from Jean
Hi Jean in NZ! I used to think about this quite a bit....am I making the 'right' decision about this or that. I have grown up a little more and accept where I am and the path I have chosen.I know you cherish your blog path....it shows.
If. I had not met chris I. Suspect I would still be a senior nurse in Sheffield...... With not a duck in sight
But you did and here you are talking to a fella in Nova Scotia, John!
Jim, I often think of this. Even the grief and not-so-good times make us who we are. Would we really change anything?
I wouldn't change a thing....even if I could. Barb I agree, we are the culmination of everything that has brought us to this point in time. We are all these things and more.
I think about this too, without regret.
I absolutely have no regrets. I am the sum of all the 'paths' I have chosen to take on this journey.
Hey, I really like your comments and appreciate the time you took to do so.
