A Stroll

Last weekend we headed to the Halifax Waterfront where there are many things to see and do.

Halifax in summer is lined with trees.

The Waterfront is a prime location and has spectacular views from these buildings.

Oh Canada!

There were many 'sailors' out on the waters.

With a brisk breeze, it was perfect conditions for sailboats.

It was also a perfect time for some needed energy.......the sweet kind!

This bright red boat jumped out at us!

....Vl, V, lV, lll, ll, l, 0

Heading back to the car.

Peninsular Halifax slopes down to the harbour.....very hilly.

Learning 'street etiquette' can be tough for a 'beach pup'!

'Look both ways before you cross the street'.

On our way back to the car we couldn't help but notice this sailor

who appeared to be in a hurry and heading towards the harbour.

Looked like he was going away for a while.

    1. Oh, Sophie knew what she was doing! She got a bit at the end. Yes, that sailor gets plenty of attention!

  2. Love that boat photo! I would have snapped a picture of that too. And Ron is wearing a coat with shorts and sandals. Fred sometimes sports that "look" too. What's with them? I was going to mention something about the solider and his huge sack but I'm too classy for that.

I was glad to see you took the 'mature high road' with the 'sailor, kind of!

    1. It may be cold here for 'some folk' but it is a pretty little city in the summertime.

    1. Most of the waterfront is pretty good. There is a section that is far too touristy and a little tacky I think....something for everyone, I guess.

    Nicely done :)

  9. We often sport that same look here in Michigan. Jacket, shorts. You just never know and need to be prepared.
Looks like a great day in the city.

  11. Thanks Terry! Sophie doesn't get a chance to walk in the city too often. Maybe this summer she'll get more experience there.

  12. Beautiful shots, Jim! You've really captured the essence of the area. I do hope to be able to visit my eastern neighbours at some point. Friends I know who have traveled to the atlantic provinces have loved them. One day, hopefully. Poor Sophie! She looks like she wants that ice cream so badly. She must be well behaved not to simply snatch it!

  13. Thanks Martha. Like most of Canada the Atlantic Provinces have their 'special' places.
Sophie ALWAYS knows she will get something for her patience....she really would not snatch it.....I think!lol
