Stopping? Whatever for?

I took a series of photos last week at the beach
of Ron resting on a gigantic log that had washed ashore a few years back.

Sophie is always curious why we ever stop and sit down....
as she wants to keep going and keep moving all the time.

She was very intrigued when Ron  decided to lie down,
as you can see.

And of course I had some fun editing this photo
to make it more interesting and eye-catching.

  1. What a fantastic photo, Jim! This moves beyond straightforward photography and into art! Yippy, I get to be #1 ~ only because I'm up later working on my next northern post! Happy Thursday! Isn't retirement great?

Well, the setting of this photo was almost surreal and I needed to record it.....I likes all the muted colours.

    1. LOL! I thought of that for a second, Mitchell, but never gave it a thought again.
It was essential to the photo and framing.
Oh you guys are all alike.

    1. Thanks Joyce. It had such a different perspective from what I usually do that I liked it as well.

  5. Alright you peeping tom wannabees ~ ehhh ~~ could be worse!!!

I usually say "Yup or Nope" to allowing a picture, but this time I just threw fate to the wind and let Jim suffer with the comments!

    1. I did run it by Ron too, as I usually do. I have always been known as being a tad naive but I went with my instincts that this photo was different for me.

  6. Wonderful image! Our furry friends must question a lot of things we do. Sometimes my cats look at me like I'm off my rocker!

    I see...
Sophie concerned, Ron, head thrown back in agony, hand over heart, yet other hand still on camera----

    1. Ron never 'leaves home without it', Sharon!!
That log's hard surface is so good for back when he has to 'readjust' it on occasion.

  8. It's a great angle, even if I did have to take a cold shower after viewing it. All this on top of the recent "almost naked" shot. Ron will be trending...

  9. Hi Y’all!

    Love the eagle header.

Why do you humans stop and sit? Seems like y'all spend lots of time just stoppin', lookin' and stuff like that. My Human expects me to sit quietly while she takes photos of birds or flowers.

    I’ve relocated to www.browndogcbr.net. There is a link on http://browndogcbr.blogspot.com .
Hope y’all come to my new home. I’m still workin’ on it. You need to click the title to find a spot to comment.

    Y’all hurry on by now!
