Leftover

I have been moving into and setting up the 'new' and enlarged shop all week.
I thought I could do it in one day...HA!

I brought more furniture to shop than I needed
but wanted lots from which to choose.

The shop should be open for business today with just a few minor things to do.
One of which is photos of the place!
I will post them as soon as I get them.

One of the tables I didn't use is the Scandinavian one below.
So I brought it home to see if it fit anywhere.
And I think it did.

  1. I'm a fan of the mid century look but don't actually have any in our home, except for one lamp. The table is lovely and goes well there. Good luck with the larger shop - looking forward to photos.

    1. Same with us, Craig. Most of our furniture is antique with a mixture of this and that. But crazy thing is is that it works!!
Mid-century is my favourite....as long as it is comfortable and made well.

    2. I just realized that the lamp I referred to is almost identical to the one on your new table! The base anyway in white with a white ceramic shade which is quite unusual. These lamps have such a beautiful and classic shape, they will never be out of style.

  4. I like the clean look, and I like ornate - not much in this type of this I don't like.
Take it easy Jim, you aren't 20 anymore.

    1. It has been a very very busy week, Sharon. I am pretty tired but a good tired, if you know what I mean (I think you do). I did take my time this week and tried to ration out my time between shop and home and walking. It'll take a few days of relaxing to allow my body to recover.

    1. I am too, Debra. I can now display small furniture (chairs, tables and did I mention chairs!!lol)
Thanks so much. I'm not in it to make millions, just to have some fun doing what I like to do.....find, display, sell, and find some. My dad always did this when I was a child. I think I got it from him.

  6. Now I never would have thought of putting a table in front of low hanging art ~ or hanging art so low; but it makes a striking arrangement, Jim, I'm sure your new shop space will look striking too! Have a good one!

    1. That 'art' is at eye-level when sitting on sofa directly across, Louise. This table is narrow and you know our house is not HUGE, so it creates more space there than a chair would.

    1. It is a good spot, Pat. We have such an eclectic mix of styles of furniture that I am surprised it works as well as it does.
