    1. John, I just asked my nieces husband who is a fisherman here in N.S. He said it's a personal thing in that people are trying to have a different colour/look than the next guy! I thought it would be much more complicated than that! What do I know!

  3. I also love the colors. I used to see a bit of this in Northern New England along the coast. Nothing like Nova Scotia.

    1. Yes they are Debra. When I was a kid a friend and myself would go fishing with a man in the neighbourhood who had a Cape Islander.....it was so much fun and that little boat could move!!

  6. Jim- there is just something about these beautiful boats-- the colors- the reflections in the water-- I'm always just mesmerized by photos of fishing boats--
