Summer Saturday

You know how important 'lighting' is to get that great photo we all look for? Well,

back in July we got to Point Pleasant Park a little later than usual. I noticed the 'light'

immediately at the main entrance. Everything was aglow....people moving in and out

of the darkened main path/road.

Before we entered we recognized two of Sophie's and our's favourite critters.....Charlie and Lily!

Charlie has this 'thing' for Sophie and immediately wants to chase her all over the place.

Lily is older and just glad she is out for a walk!

Funny how certain moments from a whole summer will just stay with you.

    1. Only if she 'has it HER way', Martha! Dogs that know this about Sophie, usually will ignore her and walk around her Royal Majesty!! lol.

    2. I guess what I mean to say which didn't come out above, is that she tends to an 'alpha' and if dogs don't have an issue with this then they love to see her. The others will confront her sometimes and they usually go their separate ways after a lot of dog 'cussing'!!

  3. The lighting does seem to showcase that memorable moment. Sophie's friends are adorable.

    1. That is precisely it, Pat......'showcase'. As soon as people walked out of the park into the warm evening sunlight, they were 'aglow'.....it was amazing to me to see this.

  4. Nice use of lighting, Jim!

I like the one with the child as well and the one with the lady down the path.

    I'll try to remember this!

    1. As a rule of thumb, I always try to take my photos in the morning or early evening when the sun isn't so blaringly bright. and if you must take photos around noon to 3, which I do of course, that is when some editing may be needed to soften them up a bit.

    1. Oh, you are most welcome, Jojo!
This Park is full of dogs....about 80% is 'open' to off-leash dogs. It works very well and most people are good at making sure things stay friendly.
