Contemplative Monday

I just finished watching a recent interview with Pema Chodron.
She was on Oprah Winfrey's show 'Super Soul Sunday'.
It really shows Ani Pema's 'lightness of being', I feel.

Here is the link if you wish to learn a little more about
this compassionate and wise woman, Pema Chodron:

    1. That is correct, Sharon. We can be strong when we have to be, right?

    1. So happy, Lorraine that you got something from this. Pema makes things so accessible to us all. We only have to try.

  4. Hi Jim! I watched about ten minutes, but then I had to stop for now; but, I will be back. This is an amazing video. Her story reminded me so much of my first marriage ending (although there wasn't an affair that I'm aware of). And then coming through to new and better things. That happened to me too. But I have never really defined myself by being someone's person. I've always been independent. I will be fascinated to see what she says next ~ certainly that pain of rawness of vulnerability is well-described. I hope that you are having a great start to your week.

    1. I am sure she is no different from so many women who were in the same boat, Louise.
I think you will like the rest of the interview.
This week has started off in the right direction.....forward!! Getting chilly though.

    1. This happens this time every year, Pat. Just too unique to pass up.
Does this happen around your place?

  6. Wow, Oprah? I'm impressed, in a non-attached and zen-like way.

  7. Great photo.
I had trouble with the link - old computer here - so I watched some of the Oprah youtube clips with her. I had no idea what she looked and sounded like before the clips. Love the laugh lines around her eyes.

    1. She is as natural as can be, Terry. We saw her, along with a few hundred others, one evening in Halifax. She had everyone laughing at one point, so I suspect she has done a lot of laughing over the years.

  8. She seems very approachable. It's interesting to see when someone makes such a big change in their life. And then to help so many others too.
