Saturday Morning Post

Embracing summer........

'Sandbar Island' (just made that up!!)
was very popular one day this week.

Looking through a glass crystal panel at the shop.....

I could, and I do, stare out all the windows at the MacDonald House.

No man is an island....

This couple sat in their chairs and soaked up the view
for a couple of hours the other day on MacDonald Hill.

This gaggle of  Canada Geese fly low over Lake Banook
the other evening in Dartmouth.

Casting early morning shadows down on the Atlantic Trail.......

Lake Banook is one very busy lake in the summertime.
This 'war canoe' was propelled by a dozen seniors the other evening.

Ron and Sophie walking past the lifeguards' building at the beach.

Kudos to the person(s) who made this 'welcome' display
down on the boardwalk.

Staircase to......the beach!

  1. There is an absolutely stunning quilt design in your Glass Crystal Panel.!!! Would you be agreeable to my saving that for a later on project please? It would be a major undertaking, but long term, and so beautiful.

    1. good morning that would be beautiful in a quilt!

    2. Jean, do whatever you wish with this photo. It does sound lovely....a quilt!! Keep us posted! What a good eye you have for all things quilted!!

  2. good morning Saturday,
I really enjoyed all these photos looking out your work windows-and those welcome rocks were special I wonder if someone will take them home with them.

    1. Hey Kathy! I believe they are and were placed there for the taking over the summer. They did this last summer as well and all disappeared by the fall.

Have a great weekend as well.

  3. i love these photos! and i really lie that someone wrote on those rocks! so cool!

    1. Thanks, Joyce!
They did it last year too but with sayings on them like 'be kind' etc. And eventually they all disappear.

  4. Such fun shots! I love all the images, particularly the one with all your shadows and the 'welcome' display (so cool!).

    1. We were up SO early that morning to get those long shadows.
Yes, Martha, those 'welcome' rocks are cool!

  5. I would want to spend my day gazing out those windows, too!

    1. Mitchell, pull up a chair and enjoy!

  6. You have such a distinctive style of editing, Jim, and I always enjoy seeing what you create with your photographs! I'd be staring out the windows at MacDonald House all day too. It sits in a magnificent spot! Have a good one, my talented friend!
