don't know what the problem is ?? LOL
Hello Jim,I sound more like the "you will never hear people say to you" bit (lol)... all noted for when we move to Canada one day!!Hope you have your New Year's Eve all ready!Ivan
Ha, I am from the SOUTH,and I could make a video myself!I MUST pronounce the ING at the ends of words, otherwise, my English husband cannot understand me. We will go out walkING and while there, we will be talkING...yet, when I am with my friends, we are walkin and talkin and they might bring their DAWG!
LOL! Your husband then is bilingual, I'd say!!
Hahahaha...this is so hilarious because it's so true! I speak this way very often without realizing it! Imagine the confusion when tourists whose first language is not Canadian English visit us.
I would not want to have to learn English from scratch! Imagine!?
Hahaha so sad but true! In the words or Rex Harrison in 'My Fair Lady'- "Listen to her a PRISONER of the gutter, DAMNED by every single word she utters..."
I am sure that most languages suffer the same fate, Mick! Happy New Year to you and all your Casablanca friends!!
I love the presenter!
Isn't she a riot!
Me too, your honour!
have you noticed that whenever they interview a hockey player, the g has completely vanished from the end of EVERY FREAKING WORD?!?
What does that tell us then?!
I found this fascinating! I think she's actually a very good language teacher! I think this happens in a lot of languages. I loved the zee zed bit! My third graders would collapse in giggles every time I accidentally said "zed!"
LOL! I can just imagine! I thought the same thing Louise, she is either a teacher or could be a good one!
So true! My first job was teaching music, then added English Literature to the music load, and finally, an ESL/music mix when I came to B.C. They are all more closely related than I would have guessed at first. ESL really made me aware of our speech patterns. Fascinating and funny too :)
ESL is probably the most difficult because we take so much for granted, wouldin ya say? lol
Hey, I really like your comments and appreciate the time you took to do so.
