Retro Saturday



The photo above was taken by a well-known Nova Scotian photographer, W.R. Macaskill.


He was primarily noted for his photos of ships and marine life. 


 But on occasion he would venture 'on land',as he did with this photo in 1926.

  11. You can almost feel the summer heat in that picture. I could just stare at black and white photos for hours, so much depth and so much to explore.

      I agree with you about B/W photographs.....so much left to our imaginations. I really like how B/W photos can keep your focus....I tend not to wonder so much as I do with colour.
