Leonard Cohen, a master of lyrics and music. A lovely finish to my Sunday evening.
That he is, Jean. Hope your Sunday was a good one. I am just beginning mine here along the very COLD north Atlantic coast. Have a wonderful week.
I love this and her!
I as well, Mitchell. I like her interpretation.
Wow that is gorgeous thanks for introducing me to her music.Enjoy your day!!!
Happy you liked it, Margo.
I am in total agreement with everyone ~ Serena is remarkable with this song.
She surely is, Ron....putting her own distinctive style into this classic.
This song has an Edmonton connection, you know. I read somewhere or heard Leonard Cohen interviewed somewhere and he said this song was based on a sexual encounter he had with 2 sisters at the Hotel Macdonald (the city's CP Hotel) in Edmonton a gazillion years ago. Nice.
Gotta LOVE Leonard and his stories, Debra!! Is there a placard outside that room at the Hotel Macdonald?
You find the most amazing music, Jim! You're expanding my horizons!
Hi Louise. It (the music) finds me it seems.I listen to CBC radio a lot (all three stations including the French which plays great music). Now the key is to remember the artist and title if I am driving!! lol
Hey, I really like your comments and appreciate the time you took to do so.
