Tranquility
Sitting at the top of the hill yesterday afternoon and looking down at the ocean,
the wind blowing a warm (yes, I said warm) breeze,
Ron and Sophie lying on the grass at the edge,
the sea stretching out beyond the horizon,
with the sun bouncing off its every ripple,
a lone surfer heading back up the hill with his surfboard,
a seagull came floating by below us.
It was that tranquil.

Contemplative Monday
The following is a quote from 'The Pocket Thich Nhat Hanh' (click)
and published by 'Shambhala Pocket Classics'.
TOUCHING THE EARTH
"With the earth you are very safe.
She is always there, in all her wonderful expressions like trees,
flowers, butterflies, and sunshine.
Whenever you are tired or unhappy,
Touching the Earth is a very good practice to heal you and restore your joy."

Eclectic Tastes
Funny how, when you hear a song from years ago, it all comes back instantly.
I still like this piece by Ian and Sylvia.
Have a wonderful Sunday/Monday(NZ) everyone.

Saturday Morning Post
So good to be outdoors once again without all the winter layers and snow boots!
I feel lighter!
Still some snow around but only in large wooded areas
where the sun doesn't reach.
Top of stone wall at Lake Banook.
Kayaker in very icy lake.
Speaking of layers.....
With Ron and Sophie at Lake Banook.
More people venturing up MacDonald Hill this week.
Good ole Beech tree holding on to its leaves for 'dear-life'.
Loved the colours of moss, tree and leaves.
